<p>I got my Michigan uniquename two days ago and tried to get onto my housing application today. I got this message:</p>

<p>"Our system does not recognize you as newly admitted freshman matriculated to the University of Michigan. This web site is for students of that group applying for on-campus housing for Spring/Summer 2009 and/or the 2009-10 academic year.</p>

<p>If you are a newly admitted freshman matriculated to the University of Michigan for Spring, Summer or Fall Term 2009, and you mailed in your enrollment deposit at least two weeks ago, contact the Housing Information Office at <a href="mailto:housing@umich.edu">housing@umich.edu</a> or 734-763-3164."</p>

<p>Do I have to wait for something be sent to my e-mail or just wait a couple days? How long does this typically take?</p>

<p>You have to wait for another email regarding housing. It usually takes around 1-2 weeks after you get your Uniqname.</p>

<p>North Campus = My worst nightmare.</p>

<p>Yeah you may have to wait for a mailing etc… though if your not that ease about it I’m sure you can always contact a housing person and ask them. At first I thought they were stating you can’t stay on campus, with that in mind… if you couldn’t stay on campus, I wouldn’t attend.</p>
