Housing room availability updates?

For north is there two spaces left in the same room? I’m hoping my roommate & I can get a room in North together :/

There is 2 spots in a triple at North room 321
There is 9 doubles with 1 spot…NO 2 spots in North

The Halls left with doubles and 2 spaces for GIRLS are:
Graham…6 onfourth floor
Trusler 4 onsecond and 9 on fourth floor
Thomas…2 rooms section H
Tolbert…1 on second and 5 on fourth
Riker…4 on fourth

That is ALL the doubles left with 2 spots available

There still are many triple rooms with 2 or 3 spots

How many doubles with one vacancy left in each hall? For girls

Girls Doubles with ONE space left:

Broward…1
Rawlings…7
Graham…8
Simpson…5
Trusler…3
Jennings…1
Buckman…3
Thomas…1
Springs…8
East…11
North…9
Riker…3
Weaver…6
Mallory…9
Reid…2
Yulee…12

@2013cheer thank you!

Can you tell me how many vacancies left in doubles for guys?
Mainly just Rawlings, Broward, Jennings, and Beaty(haha doubt it)

I can only look at girls spots for specific halls…maybe a guy can please respond to help you…

I can see spots available for areas:I cannot see which specific hall or which type of room/only a guy can view this…

Broward area (which is both Rawlings and Broward Hall) only 1 spot…
Jennings…3 spots
Beaty 0

Good Lord I am so screwed haha.
Thank you though!
Anyone know of any other good halls that are pretty social like Rawlings, Broward, and Jennings that have a little more availability?

The Yulee area is next to Broward…it has 17 spots for males

Also, the probably will release some late application triples…Rawlings says they have 16 and I never saw them listed, so maybe they will be by your date,

Remember, people may change their minds…my male friend is in Jennings and is possibly looking for another spot for he is not sure he will be happy with the roommates.

Another male friend of mine is in May…what will be left?

There is only 120 spots left listed for all males…and over 300 for females

Did your friend pick his roommates? Just kind of wondering how he knows he won’t like them. I feel like I’m the only one not picking a roommate and just going with whoever I end up in the same room as.

When you sign up for a room you see who your roommates are and their email is available. You can then contact the roommate/s by email…look up their facebook, ect.

If I click on a room that has a spot available…I can see the name of the person/s who have already picked that room.

So when it is your turn…you will be able to see a persons name that has already been assigned to the room if there is a person/s in the room already…

Beaty Towers Area 0 0
Broward Area 0 94
Graham Area 10 46
Jennings Area 2 9
Lakeside Area 25 4
Murphree Area 46 36
Overflow Area 0 0
Springs Area 10 8
Tolbert Area 6 86
Yulee Area 19 65

So basically what’s available now are like doubles with 1 vacancy and triples?

For girls there is 5 doubles in Thomas with 2 spots
4 doubles in east with 2 spots…that is all that is left

I do not have specifics for the guys

apparently jennings for guys is full. I have beaty and was considering switching. Does anyone know from like past years if some dorms like Jennings will usually have extra spots when it comes closer to May 1st? (like maybe because of cancellations or something)

I have a feeling there will be a few cancellations or people deciding to switch halls… I don’t know if it would be too much of a difference though.

A Space just popped up in Beaty for a male…so you just never know when someone might decide to switch halls

I am a mom whose daughter will (hopefully) be attending UF in the fall of 2014 (she is currently a junior). Are freshmen guaranteed housing? It sounds like there are not nearly enough spaces for the people looking for them. Is it just freshmen and sophomores that tend to live on campus? It seems like a pain to have to get in your car and drive to campus everyday (maybe more than once a day). Nobody seems to mind this?

^ nope, you must pay to reserve yourself a spot. The earlier the better!

@ yellow granite …I submitted my Application to UF in August just before my senior year began. The next day I was able to pay the 25.00 to reserve my spot for housing, so I had the very first day to pick my fall room. Have your daughter submit her application ASAP. I think you can start August 15.
