Housing Transfer

I want to transfer to another building, but the deadline's passed. I e-mailed the people working in housing and asked if it's still possible for me to transfer. They said no. Does anyone know of a way around this, or am I stuck here for another semester? Should I go in person and talk with them? Thanks to anyone who replies.

Is there a roommate issue?

Yes, there is.

ok, well unless that roommate issue is that he hunts and kills squirrels in central park, and then skins them and eats them in your room, you may want to consider the time-old new york tradition of TOLERANCE.

My frosh roommate was weird. By putting up with him for a year, I became a more flexible person, a better listener, and more conscientious and considerate. My girlfriend and I also got walked in on once, but hey, them's the breaks.

If this guy is conducting voodoo rituals in your room, then fine, go in and meet with Mark Chatoor. Explain, calmly and without editorializing or raising your voice, why you don't think you can work this out. Be able to say why this wasn't such a problem in october but is in january. And mention that you're flexible to moving to another double - that this isn't a ploy to get you and your roommate both singles.

If it's a roommate issue that's interfering with your studies/sleep, I would go speak to housing in person. Something may have opened up with kids leaving for study abroad. Good luck.
