<p>The housing options at UM include Dorms (single, double, triple, etc) and an off campus apartment. I am attending UM next fall. I am uncertain about what option to take. Is there any current student that would like to help me by sharing her/his experience? Which option has the best social life? Which one costs less? Which one is more comfortable? ..</p>

<p>As a freshman, I’d recommend living in the dorms to get involved in the social atmosphere. Make some friends. Obviously, the triple/quads cost the least but it gets real annoying real fast due to the amount of times the lights turn on and off and stuff so I’d recommend a double. A single if you don’t like company, but living with a roommate gives you stories to tell.</p>
