Dude, there are hook-ups everywhere, you have to try and not hook-up with someone else. We're teenagers and we're away from home, the air int he dorms has got to be sexually charged. I just wouldn't recommend trying to hook-up with a person on your floor r even in your dorm. Dorm-cest and floor-cest are quite annoying, even though I don't know how at CHicago feel about that. IT would be really awkwad if you broke up with someone mid-year and had to see them everyday afterwards in your dorm.

I think he was talking about an internet hookup, not literally hookup. But, either way, that's interesting because I heard quite the contrary about hookups being everywhere.

Hey, don't make fun of dyslexic people! Well, I'm not one of them and I have to admit I totally omitted the word "cable". I guess since I'm always thinking about women, of course in every question I would have to relate it in some way to that. But you guys all have to visit in order to decide on what dorms, and I'm pretty sure nearly all of them have cable hook-ups, and human ones as well.

back to the initial topic and not my stupidity in reading and posting

I persoanlly want a dorm that has a kitchen, but the only ones that offer those are at shoreland, blackstone, and stony island. The latter two are for upper-classmen, and the shoreland is far away. Also, I want to be ina dorm with lots of cool people and someplace close to campus, which none of the three are. Thus, I'm thinking of putting my cooking aspirations on hold until sophomore year. Max P sounds good, but so do all of the dorms.

A question for anyone who has been accepted EA or already attends U of C. Which housing did you choose, and why? What were the factors you considered in your decision? I'm just curious as an RD applicant because it seems like the self-selectivity of the housing could lead to different atmospheres in the different dorms.

How bad are communal bathrooms? What the heck do they look like, actually? All I keep picturing is a grungy high school locker room with little cement stalls as showers with a flimsy curtain and department-store toilet stalls where you can't crap until everyone is gone, just like high school. How do these things really work?

I saw the bathrooms in snell and they weren't bad at all. They were bright and clean- more like a normal house bathroom than a locker room. I was pleased (and I am VERY fussy about these things)

hahaha, i laughed at that and was going to tease her, but I was hoping someone else would snatch it up.............. because if i said something everyone would just be like "Siiiigggghhh, there goes that ****ing Esquared bastard with his immaturity and lack of CC ettiquete"

Yeah- all female floors have all female bathrooms, and I think on mixed floors- it depends on the house -but they often vote at the begining of the year, and if anyone has a problem with it it goes right back to single sex.
