Housing

How many floors are in Susan B. Anthony? What are the pros and cons of the freshman housing options, and which would you recommend?

Freshman don't get to choose their dorm (or even request one, IIRC), You're assigned housing.

There are 6 floors in Sue B. as they call it now, when I went there we called it "the hill". Frosh are housed on the residential quad (Gilbert and Hoeing) or Sue B. All are good choices to live in. If you need to be close to the music practice rooms and want a dining hall in the dorm, then sue b is preferred. If you want to be close to the gym then the res quad is easier. Both have pros and cons, but you will meet lots of people at either locale. WOWM-actually if you applied ED, which my daughter did, you got to choose your dorm for freshman year.

There's also Tiernan now... as I understand it, lower floors are for upperclassmen, upper floors are for freshman.

The gym isn't too far at all from Sue B, maybe a three minute walk. With the exception of Hill Court dorms, which are a little further away, housing at U of R is very close to things.
