Michigan just emailed and said their housing applications can be submitted in mid March, provided your deposit has been paid. I won't have made a decision by then. Will the people who submit those first have a better chance at living where they want? Will I be more likely to end up on North Campus if I don't pay it until April? If I pay the deposit now and decide not to go, how much money will I lose?

As long as you submit in time for the lottery, you have as good a chance as anyone else. I forget when the lottery is. If you pay the deposit now and go somewhere else, you lose $200.

Thanks. Does anyone know when the lottery is?

^No, but as long as your pay by May 1st, you’ll make it I think…

You’ll lose $200 if you pay the deposit and ditch.
