How about 50K for engin. degree?

Last post states whether or not Umich degree is worth 100K in debt and discussion started heating up. But what about 50K total debt getting undergrad. engineering degree from Umich (Industrial and Operation engin.). I am OOS. Got little financial aid but $10,000 transfer scholarship.

50K still sounds pretty steep. What's your alternative?

Thanks Alexandre for the feedback. Currently, I have no choice to get into any public school without OOS status unless I adjust my status to permanent resident and you know how picky is michigan regarding resdiency. I did my best to gain in-state-status but all in vain. Well, Dearborn campus costs way less than ann arbor, almost half AA costs. Quick numbers, AA for OOS tuition is roughly $32,500 compared to Dearborn campus OOS tuition that is $18,000. AA financail aid isn't bad, grant $3606, fedreal loans and transfer scholarship (10k) and I have 4 semesters to go for graduation. Dearborn's financail aid package, surprsingly no grant, some federal loan and $3000 scholarship. I love Umich especially AA so much and don't see myself looking for another school. Yet, i'm still debating it.
