How about them Cowboys?

Cowboys hopes for the future after last night?

As a life long Lions fan, I can attest to the fact that hope springs eternal!

Please do not remind me! I think like Romo, we now have a good idea of what Dakā€™s ceiling is. He is good for 1 max 2 playoff wins but I donā€™t think he has it in him to win it all unless the supporting cast is stellar. Elliott will be cut.

Maher too. Iā€™m thinking he got a pedicure and the polish was still drying.

Eagles fan here - they performed just as I expected. They need to give up the ā€œAmericaā€™s teamā€ moniker and all the skill inflation that comes with it. So many commentators refusing to acknowledge the Eagles this year - well, here we are.
E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles!!!
Itā€™s our year!

As someone who watches the Commanders and prays for Dan Snyder to end his tyrannic rule, I can only be happy that Dallas blew it. At least their kicker didnā€™t make the difference in the result.

I was eight months pregnant when the Washington team last won the Super Bowl ā€“ have sympathy!
(Sorry, @Youdon_tsay!)

As a Giants fan, this somewhat alleviates the pain of the A** kicking we got Saturday night. Not ever rooting for the Eagles (UNLESS theyā€™d been up against the Cowboys next week, then Fly Eagles etc.).

Go San Francisco !

As long time Eagles fans we were struggling with having to root for Tampa Bay so I was completely happy with the 49rs taking Dallas out even if it was the worldā€™s worst game.

Prescott should stay. Jerry needs to sit down and let someone else be the GM. Jalon Hurts was not even born, last time Dallas enjoyed divisional success.

As a Cowboys fan, I love the hate on here. You hate us cuz you aā€™int us, as they say.

Agree that Dak may have a ceiling, but I would give him another year. At times during the season, the receivers didnā€™t help him. Romo I was ready to cut loose way before he was gone.

Oh I like ā€œyou hate us cause you ainā€™t usā€ . My sonā€™s prized possession for many years was a Troy Aikman action figure.

here in Philly we roll with ā€œYou donā€™t like us, we donā€™t careā€

Do you really, genuinely think any fan in the country is jealous of a team that hasnā€™t even made it to a conference championship ā€” forget the Super Bowl ā€” in almost 30 years? Itā€™s not a ā€œhate us ā€˜cause you ainā€™t usā€ thing.

That sentiment might have made sense 30 or 40 years ago. Now the hate comes more from mocking a large group of people who have the audacity to think people still feel that way given decades of mediocracy. Plus, ā€œAmericaā€ is tired of being saddled with being told this is their team.

Because defense is not as exciting?

Watch Jerry Jones go all in for someone like Baker Mayfield in the off season.

No one started a post about any other losing team. Wonder why there isnā€™t a Giants got blown out post?

Itā€™s OK. Iā€™m also a UT fan and find it highly amusing that people do the Hook 'Em Horns sign down when two other teams are playing and thereā€™s isnā€™t a Longhorn in sight. :metal:t4:

Jerry Jones is the WORST. Absolute worst.

Who isnā€™t cheering for Purdy? Mr. Irrelevant makes it to the big time?

However, I think the clock will be striking midnight and Cinderella will have to go home (Eagles will win).

Around us, itā€™s less about griping about the football team and Carson Wentz (thanks, Phila ā€“ NOT) and more about getting rid of the owner.

49ers might consider trading Trey Lance.

I consume college football to a point of needing counseling. Are you telling me that, off someplace where there are two teams playing and neither one of them is UT and there are no game implications involving UT, people routinely, or even sometimes, or ever, invoke the inverted hook 'em horns as some kind of universal signal of jealousy?

Iā€™ve missed that somehow. Do tell.

We can all agree that no team loses bigger with more pizazz than the Cowboys. They do it at just the right moment. I mean, miss 4 extra points in the previous game, yet still win. Thatā€™s a record! Then have another extra point blocked because THAT one went wide leftā€¦again. To top it all off, turn it into a Rugby game for the last play, and throw the ball 60 yards short of the endzone. Even if DAK managed to get a touchdown, the kicker would have missed the extra point to send it into OT.
