How accurately do SAT scores reflect SAT scores?

I got a 227 last October, which makes me really happy because it predicts that I'll get a 2270 on the SAT. (I take it on the 26th.) Does it actually turn out this way?

WOW, I screwed up the title. The first one should be "PSAT scores". I guess this will get a lot of sarcastic responses.

Your thread title could use a little tweaking…

Well, that’s going to suck all the fun out of it.

If you took the PSAT and the SAT at the same time at the same conditions, you’d get the same scores. The only differences are that the PSAT is shorter and thus easier to some, but it makes the curve harsher so you can’t miss as many questions as on the SAT.

However, you probably studied a lot for the SAT, so you could potentially get a 2300+. You also could have been extremely lucky guessing on the PSAT and you might get only a 2100 if you’re not careful.

Also, make sure you can write a solid essay because that was not on the PSAT.

By the way, congrats on the 227! That’s National Merit Semi-Finalist in every state!

Haha yeah you should be getting 2270. My friend took the PSAT and the SAT and she got 186 and 1860 exactly.

However, my PSAT was 137 and my current SAT scores are well above my friends scores. Granted, I did skip the CR section on the PSAT and just filled in the bubbles with a smiley face :)
