<p>Biggest thing for me: I'm out-of-state.</p>
<p>I'm HS sophomore taking honor classes. I havn't taken the SATs yet...but the PSAT for me is this Saturday.</p>
<p>Lets say I have a perfect GPA 4.0 UW and I take each academic AP class available esp. throughout my junior/senior year </p>
<p>BUT my EC's are low to none. </p>
<p>How good are my chances then? Be harsh as possible. Thnx.</p>
<p>To get into the hardest UC schools out of state, you need to have really great stats. While your grades are high (assuming those are your grades) you don't have a chance if your SAT is below 2100-2150 at the least, i'd say, and you REALLY need some ECs. get to work...</p>
<p>I'll see what I Can do with the EC's but i do tons of acting at my school and i'm in a couple of clubs. But I dont do national important stuff like NHS or BoyScouts ect...</p>
<p>it doesn't matter.. you say you do tons of acting which is great. be sure to devote a lot of time to something -- they'll see it as your passion</p>

<p>i know you want to try and all but sometimes things dont go exactly as planned. Like getting a 4.0 gpa unweighted and taking every AP class isn't realistic. Also, remember that your only a sophmore right now and the school year has just started, which means a lot can change the remaining of sophmore year and junior year. I know this may not help with your question, I just want you to be aware of this. Im not trying to be pessimestic, im just speaking from experience.</p>
<p>And I thank you for sharing your experience. I know it's not realistic, but I also know it's not impossible. I'm not saying that I will definetly get an UW 4.0, but I can at least try.</p>
