HOw are the CA ppl getting to Cornell..(traveling)?

um, I think will fly to JFK via USA air and then another plain to Ithaca (Jetblue).

The Ithaca airport is only served by USAir (Philadelphia and NYC) and Northwest (Detroit). Syracuse has more options, and is probably cheaper, but is a $50 taxi ride away.

I'm taking Jet blue from Sacramento to Syracuse ($365 ish) then the $12 bus straight to Ithaca

Where did you find the info about this $12 bus that you speak of?

when i went for cornell days i went to the elmira/corning airport. since it was only a 25 min drive from there.
of course, i had to ride three different airplanes to get there. um so maybe next time ill think of something better.

us airways to philly, then a connecting flight to ithaca

Might I suggest flights into JFK (usually cheapest when I flew from San Jose or SF) and then take the shortline bus--from the port authority downtown--straight to the ithaca bus station, two seconds from campus. Shortline is also the best way to get to the city for weekend getaways.

have fun guys...

CUgrad

shortline also stops at north campus, west campus, and collegetown. so you don't have to use TCat buses at all.

Jet Blue from Burbank, CA to JFK to Syracuse then Bus/Taxi/Limo? to Ithaca?

hey everybody, I live in syracuse. Cornell is about an hour and fifteen minutes away (driving ... at the speed limit). I'm not sure what taxis/buses/etc are available but i can check if you all want.

I'm pondering the idea of giving people rides down to Cornell. The airport is a 5 minute drive from my house. I'm just not sure if i'll be able to yet, but if there's an interest please let me know, and i'll see what i can do. I can likely do the same for holiday vacations.

wow that sounds great, i dont know how my parents would feel though. and also you realize that most of us californians will be lugging some large amounts of luggage? but that's a wonderful offer nonetheless, if you decide to do it, i just might take up on it. :D
