Hi All! Thank you for your help! I was wondering when/how the admissions committee will notify us? I'm applying to a lot of schools and I wasn't sure how Cornell does it. Through the website/email/mail?

You are applying to:

Princeton, Yale, Harvard, Duke, Vanderbilt, Cornell, Brown, Dartmouth, UPenn, Columbia, Georgetown, WashU, Northwestern, Cal Tech, UC - Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon, NYU.

You are asking the same question on every forum. The answer is all ivies will notify all applicants around 5pm on the same day via email. Within 15 mins you would know your fate at most of those schools. I hope you have a true safety. Good luck.

Hahahaha, good stalking/research skills.

Thank you! Hmm, I think it’s a bit late to find a safety.

State schools with rolling admissions = “true” safeties (and you can usually still apply to some of these schools in late spring if their classes haven’t filled up and you didn’t get into ANY college). But you really should consider adding a decent, “I would want to go here” safety that isn’t hyper-competitive but is still selective. LULZ @ applying to every single Ivy. That’s just ridiculous. I can’t imagine that you are attracted to every single one of those schools because of factors other than perceived prestige.

decisions for ivies dont come through email, they have a special decision website for it.

well, why not apply to all ives? who knows, it might be worth the effort. itll be funny and nerve-wracking though, having to log on to a ton of separate decision sites to know the results. in any case, good luck

Because you can’t honestly believe that you are a good fit for all eight schools. Nobody should apply to that many schools based on prestige.

For Dartmouth, Brown, Penn, and Cornell, they used a “decision website.” This was for us Early Decision applicants, idk if it’s different for RDers.

secret: well said. Now go tell that to anonymou93’s parents

:D

^if you do apply to all Ivies, I’m sorry man, but you’re in for a load of (if not all) disappointments

That is a massive amount of schools.

^^ seriously…

^^^^and all of them are very selective…

i hope to god he’s at least in state for Cal

Hahahaha, I’m a girl. I’m guessing none of you guys stalked my stats or you would have known that.

But I’m applying to all the Ivies after visiting every single one (I must have visited 50 colleges), and I do actually want to go to all of them. If I cared about prestige, I would want to go to Harvard, but Harvard is not my top choice. Though I can’t say prestige doesn’t matter.

hahaha i have no time to stalk pages. gotta do college apps and school work. and yes, i am on break but my teachers SUCK and every single teacher was like okay! you guys are gonna learn chapters x,y and z during the break and will have a test two weeks before semester grades! yesssssssssssssssss!!!
I have no idea how you have enough time to do all those… jesus…
