So...anybody else having your friends freak that you're transferring? Mine fail to realize that a certain school just isn't right for everyone. Actually, this just solidifies my want to transfer:)

Are you talking about friends at school or friends back home? For me, I havent told any of my friends at school and ive been very careful as not to tell them. Obviosuly, if/when it happens I will tell them. As for my friends back home, they were suprised that it wasnt working out for me, but when I told them all the speific reasons, they were supportive of me. However, I ve only really told a few close friends as I dont want everybody back in my hometown to ask me about it all the time

I have sooooooooo many friends. Everyone wants to be foxdie's friend.

I've started an application process. This year, I received 78 applications for 4 seats. Many top applicants that would be a great fit for me have been rejected due to stiff competition. I wish the rejects the best of luck in their future endeavors.

I was lucky enough to make some phenomenal friends at my college, but they're VERY sad that I want to leave. They constantly pester me and bust out their puppy dog faces to make me stay. However, they're also very supportive of me because they realize that this just isn't the place for me. One of my really great friends here actually wrote me a stellar peer rec for Wesleyan.

my roommate (who is also my best friend at college) understands completley, as she may transfer as well. i do have a friend though, who transfered from Baits, and does not understand at all why i would want to go to similar schools (Bowdoin, Middlebury, etc.)
