how bad can my grades get before my acceptance is revoked?

Maybe if you get Ds and Fs.

My guess is that they revoke if they see some sort of drastic drop i.e. you had a B for the first marking period in some class, but the final overall grade of the year for that class ended up at a D/F.

I just heard an admission's officer say something about "anything below C and we don't look any further."

I got a D in an AP class so that's technically a C. Am I in trouble here?

Well, one D can't be thaaat bad. I think Rutgers only get to see your overall grades for the whole year, so the end of the year average. Just make sure you do well during the next marking period so that your average for that class doesn't drop.

Wait, did you get accepted already?

i thought acceptances weren't conditional??..as in you can mess up as much as you want and because you were accepted, you're still in... :s ...i hope that's true because i dropped a grade in maths and got a D, an overall B (by ONE mark!) but should hopefully be an A at the end of the year..

Nope, they depend on how well you do later in the year. There was this one kid at our school that got into Princeton, totally didn't try for the rest of the year, and ended up going to our local county college because Princeton took away his acceptance around June, way too late to apply to any other colleges.

Your B though, don't worry about it. If you were addmitted having straight As I'm sure it still won't make a difference. As long as you don't drop two grades in your final average, in my opinion, I think you're safe. At Boston College, they say that the lowest is a C as a final average for senior year, or else they'll start looking closer at your grades.

So Rutgers only looks at your final overall grade, as in all your classes combined (like your final GPA)? One D won't make a drastic change, will it?

what about chances for scholarships?

lol i dont think one bad grade hurts..
i'm recieving a failing grade for one class (its a final grade) due to this whole schedule / family problem that i wont bother explain.. i called the school and they said one failing grade is fine as long as your overall average is good
