This semester I got three A-'s and I was worried that they reflect badly on college admissions. Is this true?

thanks

thanks

They look like trash, you’re application is done for.

I think the letter B is much more beautiful. I have several that I’d be willing to trade.

I also think the number 3 is much more interesting then 4. 5? You won’t catch me with one.

Nice ■■■■■ post. Best of luck.

Relax with that attitude you are in at a top 20 already as long as they don’t turn into consistent B’s…

This is so sad, are your parents Tiger Parents?

Nvm you wouldn’t be allowed to be on the internet. Go back to the piano! -Whip whip-

This is a perfectly valid question if you’re trying to get into a top 20 school. Lets say someone got all A-s for their entire high school career, theyd have a 3.67 gpa unweighted. You think an ivy league school wants to see a 3.67? Not a chance. They want a 4.0. Obviously there are a lot of other factors too, but yes, an A- does appear worse than an A

of course an A is better than an A-…and news flash, an A- is better than a B+, and a B+ is better than a B, and a B is better than a B-, and a B- is better than a C+, and a C+ is better than a C.

Let’s be realistic here guys. ANY college is going to see your three A-'s and immediately know that you will not be successful at their school. They will proceed to trash your entire application, even if they haven’t opened it yet, and pocket your application fee.

A-?

2012 came a year early, nice job jerk.

I used the wrong form of “your”… that’s embarrassing…

^lol, thats still better than whining about A-'s.
@OP, really?

I’m utterly shocked that people are asking these questions. Come on an A-. Please ask legit question and not this pig slop.

College isn’t right for everyone…

If I could “like” all of these replies I so would…

Come on this is a legitimate question. There is a big difference between an 89.5 (A-) and a 99. I, however, got pretty much straight A-s with a few B+s scattered in there and I still got into Swarthmore (and deferred at Gtown). You’ll be fine.
