How bad is a C junior year?

So my first semester of junior year just ended and I got my first C ever in Calc BC. How badly will this screw me? I don’t really have any great excuse for this like family issues or anything but our school is known for having a difficult math program, most people get 5s and pretty much everybody gets at least a 4 on the AP exam. I was hoping to get into UC Berkeley or UCLA (for biology not engineering) but any midtier UCs like UCSD, UCD, etc would be nice too. I got a 1480/1600 on my first SAT but I’m planning on retaking it. I have pretty good extracurriculars, lots of clubs, officer positions, volunteering, a job, etc. Here’s the rest of my grades so far for more context

9th grade:
Jazz band A/A
Concert band A/A
PE A/A
Biology A/A
Precalculus A/A
Honors english A/A
Spanish 2 A/A

10th grade:
Jazz band A/A
Concert band A/A
AP euro history B/A (3 on AP exam)
Spanish 3 A/A
Honors english A/A
AP Calc AB B/A (5 on AP exam)
Honors chemistry A/B

11th grade:
AP US history A
AP biology A
AP Calc BC C
Jazz band A
Honors physics A (school doesnt offer AP but planning on taking the AP physics 1 exam since they’re kinda the same)
AP english lang and comp B

Senior year I’m planning on taking jazz band, concert band, AP english lit, and 3 of the following classes (not sure which yet): AP chem, AP stats, AP psychology, AP spanish, AP computer science, or biotechnical engineering

Bump

One C will not be an automatic rejection. If you get it up to a B or an A by year’s end, it will only impact your UC GPA slightly. Strive for A’s in all the other classes and you will be fine. Calculate your UC GPA at the end of Junior year and if your capped weighted is at 4…0+ you can be competitive for most of the UC’s. UCLA/UCB are always tough, even with close to perfect grades.

If get the exact same grades for next semester including another C, your UC GPA (capped weighted) would be around 3.96. If you get all the same grades plus bump up your AP Calc grade to a B, then you around 4.00 UC GPA (this is capped weighted). UCLA/UCB also uses uncapped weighted so it could be potentially higher in the 4.2+ range.

Just keep working hard and it is not the end of the world. You will find a great school that is a perfect fit for you.
