i know on Princeton Review...Hopkins is right up there for worst food (at least it was last year not so sure about this years ratings)...but how far is this true? im a vegetarian so...

also in case the food is bad...r there like reasonably priced cafes/restaurants walking distance from campus? ne current students' comments will be really helpful

We ate in a JHU dorm last week and the food really was
I actually tossed mine. It was non-veg., overcooked, dry. There was a veg. calzone which was good, pizza, lots of pastas and salads.

my friend was a vegetarian, and she was actually exempt from her food plan at her school (cuz she is pretty strict) maybe you could ask JHU if you can be exempted, and then you can do w/e you want!

As a current JHU student, the food sucks. No ifs, ands, or buts. However, there is a lot of good food located in Charles Village (the area surrounding JHU) and a lot of good places that deliver. Also, the food in Levering Hall is pretty good and, now that I think of it, it's covered for lunch on the meal plan. In all, don't worry about the food since local restaurants are cheap and you can be pretty flexible with the meal plan. Wolman and terrace are pretty bad, but you have options

From my experience at campus day, the food was far from good. I ate at the Terrace Food Court and I was afraid to go for the special of the day. I stuck with a cheeseburger and fries, which were pretty bad. I'm sure there are lots of places around Baltimore if you are willing to spend the $. But the food at most colleges are pretty bad. I was at U of Michigan campus day yesterday and their food wasn't much better.
