lol.. cool? I dunno if that's the word you'd use :p

Well, considering that I was never really able to make it to 2 wheeled vehicles, anything on 1 wheel is pretty damn cool to me, haha.

So in that same line of thinking, a surfboard would be the ultimate cool vehicle! :O

Normally, how do people get around? Certainly, not everyone walks...what about scooters, skateboards, or bikes?

"Normally, how do people get around?" They fly. No seriously I saw lots of skateboarders and longboarders and bikers, but I didn't see any scooters, which unfortunately, is the only thing I know how to ride. (I know how to ride bikes too, but its inconvenient)

I think skateboarding is the most popular way of getting around at UCSD.. At least that's what I saw last time I visited.

now that i think about it, ucsd is a really big campus. no wonder theres shuttle buses alway running in most directions all the time.

Shuttles are almost always slower than walking - you take a shuttle for purposes of leisure, not speed. ;)

Most people walk, followed by skateboards, followed by cycling. I've seen more unicyclists than scooterists.

^Damn it. Why oh why does scootering have to be so uncool??!?!?

I've seen scooters more than once. I don't think they're uncool.

Also, don't worry about not knowing how to board. Many friends of mine boarded to all of their classes, but stopped during the year as they kept getting more and more scars. Now they walk.

lmao, how funny.

Intra-campus transportation, in order of occurrence:
1) sandals (cool)
2) shoes (forgivable)
3) skateboard (poser. it's UCSD for chrissake)
4) bike (meh)
5) blades (rare, and silly)
6) SEGWAY (don't. seriously.)

Also, there are no bike paths (unlike UCSB... sigh).

You're not supposed to be on wheels on main public walk ways. If you do, YOU better be the one to GTFO of my way; don't pretend you have right-of-way just because you're on wheels.

^You totally forgot scooters! DOES THAT MEAN THEY ARE SUPER UNCOOL?!

I'll have you know I still ride mine.

You know I honestly haven't seen any scooters, though my mind might just be seeing bikes instead.

Oh, oh I have seen a scooter! Maybe two or three. Its easy to forget that they exist since most people bike or skateboard...

Crap, that means I gotta ride my scooter as much as possible before it gets abandoned :(

Ah well, I guess I'll ride it in grad school.
