<p>So I made this mistake that no one should make last night. I checked my NYU application and supplements 10 times already. BUT, I forgout to check my recommenders on the common app. </p>
<p>I thought I can go back and add another important recommender after I submit the application. But Common App didn't allow me to.</p>
<p>Now I just have one recommendation from my Math teacher and she didn't submit yet. My principal also wrote me another recommendation and he submitted to the Common App but I didn't list his name on the NYU app. Ugh!!! Do you think if I just have one letter will hurt my chance of getting into the school? </p>
<p>Please guys, I'm so fking desperate now. </p>

<p>I think you can still hand in 2 recommendation letters whether you indicated their names or not on the commonapp. the admissions office has a file kept for all their applicants and they will know when new material arrives. Good Luck</p>
<p>I submitted only one recommendation and was accepted. You are also able to mail in recs later, if that helps. I sent mine about a week after the application deadline.</p>
<p>They continue to put your file together over the first few weeks of January. Just have the recs mailed to them within the first couple of weeks of Jan. This is exactly what I did of my ED app. The app was in on October 29, but one of my recs didn’t arrive until the second week of Nov. I used the common app.</p>
<p>I remember when I visited NYU they said that they want no more than two recommendations, and they don’t like it when people send in too many. So, having only one should not be a problem. Also I think their two recommendation policy includes the one from your GC.</p>
<p>lol well when i went there…the admissions lady or whoever came to talk to us (on the visitor day) said that we can submit 2 from teachers/counselor…but if we have any extras, we can mail it in. </p>
<p>that being said, they didnt know my third one was coming in becuz i didnt list it on the C.A. but they still got it. so i think they’ll still get urs too : ]</p>
