I have taken the SAT twice now, once in the October of Junior year and another in the June of Junior year and got 1620 the first time and 1820 the second time. However, i need to raise my score to a 2000-2100 and the only time i can take it is on October. Any advice on how to practice, the only practice i have done to raise my score to 1820 was taking challenging courses and 6 practice tests, however now i do not have the time to do so. Any advice on how to raise my score?
I would say review what the questions you got incorrect and search for strategies or techniques to solve them. Best advice is using your SAT Blue book and doing the other 4 practice tests. Since you have around 3 or so months from October just study the questions your struggling on the most. Do 1 practice exam every 2 or 3 weeks and try and improve it by 50 points each (Make sure you review the type of questions you got incorrect on each practice exam and study those!)
What are your scores for the individual sections? If they’re all about the same, just review questions you struggle with and do multiple practice tests. There are many threads on this site about techniques for scoring well in the individual sections (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/750399-how-to-attack-the-sat-critical-reading-section-effectively.html), etc. Also, unless your writing score is horrendous, focus on CR and math, as most schools value those scores more highly than the score out of 2400. Good luck!
