I got 116/150 on MT1 (score = average) and I got 71/150 on MT2 (average = 82/150). What can I do to get a B-?

I made some serious ****ups on the last midterm (e.g. there were three stereo isomers, i put down six, three of which being redundant net me 0 points). I also made some other stupid mistakes like forgetting to put hydrogens on alcohol groups but got no partial credit (my arrow pushing diagrams indicated that I meant for there to be hydrogens, it just forget to write the H's...). I end to request a regrade to get a few points back.

What do I have to do on the final+MT3 in order to get a B-?

Well, that depends. What's the total grade percentage breakdown? Also, do you know what the curve is set at?

15-20% A
35% B
45-50% C and D

That's not too bad. Just do the very best you can. Don't worry about calculating "I need at least this many points" because you never know how many points you're actually going to get, and it's a waste of time to worry about that stuff anyways. Your time is better spent studying and learning the material. So work hard and kick some butt.

Sound advice, tastyb33f.

Do you realize at that last posting, both you and Leftist have exactly the same number of posts?!? How cosmic.

Whoa. Keen eye there, beatchick.

...and kind of depressing considering I registered almost 3 years before Leftist did...

...but in retrospect, not so depressing because I guess it's a good thing that I didn't spend all that much time on these boards...
