How can rising junior prepare for the "New SAT"?

I personally think that changing the SAT for all grades at the same time is so unfair because people like me, don’t have much time, and neither enough resources to catch up on the new style of the test. Getting a high SAT score is extremely important to me because other than that I believe that until now I’m all set for a great college.
Being a person who just moved to the US two and a half years ago, I already struggled with the SAT because of my second language issues, but I was going to practice really hard to get a higher score (I scored a 1510 on the PSAT that I took during the fall semester of my sophomore year). Now I’m left clueless as of how to study. Do you think using the old books to prepare is insufficient? What can I do? I’m willing to work extremely hard.

Prepare for the ACT.

Use the free online material at Khan Academy

CollegeBoard released the official study guide for the 2016 redesigned test. It has 4 practice exams and explanations. You could use that as a primary for studying the new sat. For a secondary choice, I still think doing critical reading passages in the old sat is a good way to prepare. You’re still being tested on being comprehensive in whichever exam you take. Math is slightly harder in my opinion, but if you’re doing well in school math, you should be okay in the new sat math. Just make sure you try every question without a calculator, since there is that no calculator part that might be difficult for sole-calculator test takers.
Good luck.

Thank you so much for your help.

Don’t use the old SAT material for the new SAT. That’s like training with a basketball coach to play football. Totally different test. Use the CB New SAT book and Khan Academy as your primary sources. Use real material.

If you run out of real material, there are plenty of test prep companies out there who already produced material geared towards the new SAT. But you’re better off using real material.

@mmk2015 I disagree. Here is what xiggi said about this issue:

That is foolish logic. Why waste your time trying to figure out what from the old test is relevant to the new test. Using your idiotic logic, keep studying vocab, do sentence completions, analogies, Quant Comparisons, old essay, etc.

While you’re at it, use AP English and AP Math tests to prepare for the new SAT.

But for anyone looking to save time and energy, use material that is specifically designed for the new SAT.
