How can taking the sat January of my senior year possibly affect my admissions decision

So, I took the SAT for the second time in November and I got an 1880(super scored). Which isn’t a bad score, but I feel like I can do better, especially because I missbubbled about 8 CR questions and had no time to fix the questions. So I emailed both Barnard and Vassar’s office of admissions about whether they would still accept January SAT scores and they both said yes.So I’ve decided to take it in January, but I was wondering how this may affect my admission decisions.

If your score improves, it’ll help. Otherwise, it won’t. Same as an SAT taken in November.

Great! Thank you so much!

If you apply RD the scores would arrive before any decision is made. Agree, that you should only send the January score if is has improved.

Thank you so much!
