How closely did your PSAT score match your SAT score?

10th grade PSAT: 181
10th grade SAT: 2140

I still have time. =)

11th grade psat-199
11th grade SAT- 2280

Psat scores dont correlate

Psat 202
sat 2170

PSAT 11th- 1570
SAT (June)- 1790

Not nearly as good as most of the people on here lol.

PSAT (11th): 206
SAT(11th): 2160

i got a 191 on the PSAT junior year. 1870 on my last SAT.

10th grade psat 216
11th grade 227
will take sat in jan 2010.

I will do some practice myself. Will I get over 2300 or close to 2400?

10th PSAT: 196
11 th PSAT: 201

I didn’t take SAT’s yet.

10th PSAT - 177 - 64CR/48M/65W
11th PSAT - 196 - 65CR/68M/63W
11th SAT - 2130 - 730CR/690M/710W
12th SAT - 2250 - 710CR/740M/800W (2270 superscored)

Having more math classes in school brought my math score up between my first and second PSAT, some ghost factor brought my scores up to 2130, and 40 hours of studying got me a 2250 (the decrease in CR score was a mega surprise though, got uber unlucky with the vocab in SC and a couple of passage questions).

Junior PSAT: 227: 74 CR; 80 M; 73 W (I am currently appealing a question, though. If it succeeds, I’ll have 232.)

Freshman SAT: 2270: 740 CR; 790 M; 740 W

I’m taking the SAT next month; I’m hoping for 2350+ (~750 CR; 800 M; 800 W).

PSAT: 228 (80 CR, 75 M, 73 W)
SAT: 2360 (800 CR, 760M, 800W)

these were taken within a month or so of each other and i didn’t really study in between. i think i made my state’s cutoff, so i’m really hoping i can get some scholarship money :)

@silverturtle^That’s funny. You have not gotten smarter :)

Secretly, this is the only reason I’m appealing that question. I have to at least improve a little in two years, gosh! :)

After increasing their scores by more than 100 points (or 10 points since this is the PSAT), 97% of students who take the SAT’s their junior year score 50 points lower than they did on their first PSAT.

hmm i feel like the psat is harder than the SAT to score highly on

^Me too…

I wonder where you got the 97%. It seems most people here reported that they have higher SAT than PSATx10.

Junior PSAT - 216 (72 CR, 71 M, 73 W)
Junior SAT - 2290 (700 CR, 800 M, 790 W)

It wasn’t a close match. :P

I really can’t say they match…

Sophomore PSAT - 228
Sophomore SAT - 2230

Junior PSAT - 236
Junior SAT - 2300

If we would “superscore” PSAT results, though:
PSAT superscore - 239
SAT superscore - 2370

So…sort of close?

mine pretty much match…

Junior PSAT - 227 (74 CR, 78 M, 75 W)
Junior SAT - 2290 (790 CR, 800 M, 700 W)

taken within 6 months of each other (oct 09 PSAT and jan 10 SAT)
