Now I haven't got my AP results back yet (CT), but I was wondering how colleges viewed Subject Tests in comparison with AP's. I understand that the latter is not an admissions requirement, however, both are usually used to grant placement at top colleges (Engineering). Can a low AP score in let's say Chemistry, be made up for with a 750 from the SAT Subject Test? Similarly, I'm taking Physics C next year, haven't taken B yet, but got a 770 on the Physics Subject Test. Would that be a good indicator of how I would have done on the actual AP Physics B exam? Thank you, and have a beautiful day.

AP scores are typically not looked at at all & SAT II scores importance varies wildly from College-to-college & major-to-major. Bottom line is that Your SAT I / ACT, GPA, Class rank, & course rigor are on the front line of getting you into the discussion at the 50 most selective colleges & then your letters of rec., essays, & EC’s will be the deciding factors.

I would like to know this too…
