how competitive are schools in the uk,Ireland and Canada

I am wondering since I am an average student how competitive the Uni's are in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Canada since I always wanted to study abroad.

also what work, student visa opportunities are there?

Thanks

You need to contact the Education Officer at the closest Consulate of each of these countries. That person can help you find out the information that you are looking for.

Good luck!

That really depends on the schools. Some schools in the UK are extremely competitive such as Oxford, Cambridge, University College London, Imperial College London, King’s College London, and London School of Economics and Political Science. However, there are many less-competitive schools you can look into such as Queen Mary and Metropolitan University. You apply through the UCAS system and it’s pretty straightforward.

Canadian schools, on the other hand, tend to be GPA-based. Some of the toughest schools (or rather ‘programs’) are: McGill and Queens commerce. Then, there are some schools that are extremely easy to get into such as Concordia, McMaster, Dalhousie, Western Ontario, and Bishop’s.
Luckily, in Canada, international students with study permit (student visa) are allowed to work part-time ON CAMPUS. That means you can work at a cafeteria or bookstore.

Personally, I’d choose Canadian universities. The application system is extremely easy to use and I finished applying to three schools in half an hour.

Hope this helps!
