I’m very interested in doing INternational relations and OSU has a very good program. The only problem is my grades are not the best. I have a 3.1 and I haven’t taken the ACT yet but im expecting anywhere between 28-30. I feel that if I apply to OSU then I will be rejected for the program because of my less than stellar statistics. Anyway, how competitve is the International Politics program at OSU.

That’s one of my majors right now, and it’s not one of the “competitive” majors. That is, once you get accepted to OSU, you can just see an adviser and declare this as your major.

Right now you should worry more about the Admissions office instead of the International Studies department, since the former will be looking at your application very closely and the latter will not care about you until after you get accepted here. A 3.1 is on the low side to get into OSU, so I would reach for a very high ACT/SAT.

Good luck!
