<p>Hi Everyone!</p>
<p>I have a question about the SMG required class - SM121. Is it one of those classes where the professor can only give out a handful of A’s and B’s, and the rest have to be C’s and below?</p>
<p>In general, how rigorous is the course? I know it differs from view to view, but I work pretty hard and want the grade I deserve, not one that happens to be unfairly tossed.</p>

<p>i just completed my freshman year at SMG and i thought SM121 was challenging and definitely requires work. you’ll probably be busy working in teams to get projects done but hard work does not go unnoticed at SMG. i dont believe there to be any specific curve that professors must adhere to and all tests were curved to 80%. midterms can be tricky and some questions can be ridiculous at times but the professors know that and will toss out any questions or accept more than one answer if something is truly at fault. since you seem concerned about this, you shouldnt really have a problem doing well in the class i hope. and if not, there are always office hours, tutors, and TA’s that available for you to take advantage. </p>

<p>That differs from person to person… Some people find it really difficult. I though it was time consuming rather than difficult. It’s a college introductory course so you won’t learn anything uber-advanced or complicated. It’s just to get you introduced to basic concepts of business.</p>
