How Difficult Is High School

First, you’re really lucky! My school being a ****, decided to stop doing class rank, and since I’m the only 8th grader taking Honors Geometry, I’d be guaranteed it as long as I didn’t get any B’s. STUPID SCHOOL!!! SO MEAN!

Anyways, with 1 B it’s possible to make valedictorian, depending on how bad grade deflation is at your school. But it’s not too late to bring up your grade. S1 is not over yet!

Go back to playing video games.

High school is easy. Usually you think “@#)%&@)#%(* I have so much hw.” Then you just procrastinate, realize you only need to do parts of it b/c the other is for completion or what not, then just do good on tests.

Honestly I’m taking the hardest classes my school offers, as in 4 APs, MVC, etc, and I find I barely have hw. The only reason I go to bed so late is because I procrastinate until 9 at night to do it.

Yeah, people really overstate how difficult high school is on CC. I took 3 ap credits junior year and had less than 2 hours of work to do at home a week - and my school is supposedly one of the highest ranked public schools. That said, developing good study habits is invaluable, and something I regret not doing. Designate a certain amount of your day to school work and you’ll do amazing. Don’t be afraid of AP classes - most are a lot easier than you think!

“Don’t take AP Lang its sooooooo hard omg I almost died”

About 3/4 of the class got As… don’t listen to people, they’re just hazing you because they want their accomplishments to seem so much better.

I have heard of AP english and currently improving when it comes to writing. I think I will do 2-3 APs a year. I don’t know, but the school I am going to has only 4-8 Vales a year, but they all end up getting excepted to an Ivy. I was surprised to hear when P.E was a lot more about tests on sports and not running a mile. Is it really worth taking honors classes even if they are just harder and don’t give you extra rewards like 5.00 GPA scale?

Yes, it’s worth it, especially if your school doesn’t offer APs freshman year. It shows colleges you ~challenge yourself~

Also APs are more fun for subjects you like…

Don’t get caught up in the HYPSM hype, like stated before. It ruins you and causes you to become a pretentious ivy-whore who everyone will find annoying.

Discover what you’re passionate for. Don’t do things just to get into college, do things because it’s what you love.

Don’t get caught up in popularity because the popular people are complete jokes. No one takes them seriously.

Develop good relationships with teachers. They are seriously some of the coolest people you will ever meet. And funniest!

Be YOU! Seriously, if you love math, don’t be afraid to show it. Don’t feel like you have to fit an image or change who you are to become liked/approved of. People value individuality, I PROMISE you.

Challenge yourself: Academically and intellectually.

Do not fear change. Embrace growth as an individual.

Remember that high school is only 4 years of your entire life.

Do not let ■■■■■■ on CC discourage you.

You’re gonna do great. Don’t worry!!!

lol.

And also lol @ whoever said they stopped procrastinating at 9.
