<p>But really, how difficult is it? Are the Indian boards well-recognised? What are the usual stats/EC's of Indians who get into top colleges (such as the Ivies, Ivy-equivalents or LAC's)?</p>
<p>From what I've learned, it really all depends on you as a person. Also, don't set your heart on "only the Ivies" or even the ivy-equivalents. Look past the name brand schools and look at lesser knowns that give you a quality education and a great learning environment. You can still get a great education in the U.S. without going to an Ivy.</p>
<p>It is very difficult for foreign students to get admitted to the top undergraduate programs in the US, much more difficult than for their US student peers. It is also a topic of increasing political sensitivity.</p>
