As title said… Thank you guys!
Most colleges will consider the highest test score SAT or ACT. Which schools are you targeting?
They don’t have to…you choose which you send. Send the one with the highest score.
They don’t. Unless the school requires all scores, and few do, nobody in their right mind would send in an extremely low ACT if they have a high SAT.
Only send the SAT. In theory, almost all schools will only consider the higher one, but you don’t want a lower one sitting in the back of their minds.
If you already sent them, the policy of almost all schools is to consider your highest score. Whether it’s single sitting or superscore, you have the same result - the ACT would be discarded. Hopefully they follow this policy and don’t have “oh yeah, that’s the one that had…” in the back of their minds when making tough decisions.
For the few schools that require all scores, they’ll just consider them as two pieces of data. But even most of those that require you to send all scores still say they consider the highest.
Happy Halloween. I am applying to all 9 UCs, 4 CSU ( Cal Poly San luis Obispo, San Jose, San Francisco and SDSU
I already send the ACT scores… That’s the problem in the additional report. I believed I did terrible on October one
That’s sounds right though. I hoped they won’t reject me just based on ACT, actually my SAT is not even that good, probably medium. I have 1270
@RichInPitt thank you so much, yes I hoped the admission officers will follow the policy as well !
@Gumbymom @skieurope @Empireapple thank you guys
