I sent the school forms for the common app to my guidance counselor a couple of months ago. I kept asking her to fill them out and she never would. I resent them to her just in case she never got them for some reason and then asked her about it at school. She said she finished it that morning and seemed really annoyed about it. A couple of days ago I noticed that the schools I'm applying for say they never got the school forms so I went back on the common app to see if they had been downloaded yet. According to the common app, she hasn't finished and submitted them yet. =/ Any tips on how to get her to finish? Or could it be an error on the common app? Every time I ask her about it she gets really annoyed with me, but college apps are due on the 15th so she's running out of time! This is the only part of my application that still needs to be done and she won't do it. Any advice?

The first thing to do is to call the colleges and confirm with them whether or not they have received the forms. It may be that the colleges have received the forms, but are slow in updating their online records.

After confirming with the colleges about the forms and if they still have not received them, it’s time to go above the GC and speak with your Principal. Explain the situation and be firm in stating that the forms need to be filled out, submitted, and received by the 15th. It may also be time to have your parents step in and call the school. You have given the GC plenty of time and even after reminding the GC numerous times, you haven’t gotten anywhere.
