I'm applying for International Relations programs in January, and I'll be submitting transcripts from Taiwan and France along with my transcripts from the US. I'm not exactly sure, though, how to go about getting translations for the ones that aren't in English. Seeing as the transcripts have to be sealed, do I have to get an extra transcript from each school to be translated?

contact WES (World Education services) or ECE. They can translates taht for you. Also contact the schools you're applying to to check what services they accept or use.

A tip for you...

Translating transcripts can be very expensive, depending on how many copies you need. I believe it would've come out to roughly $400 for me to get ten copies of my Sciences Po transcripts, which was ridiculous. They charge by the word, even stuff that anyone could translate (like dates and addresses). I found a place instead that offered to check over a translation I did myself and then notarize/officialize the translation. All they need is a copy of your translation (formatted properly, though I think they can reformat it for you for a bit extra). It was about $70 for ten copies. Much, much cheaper. I recommend you do that. Most places are willing to do this, I believe, as it's not that much work for them.

The originals technically need to be sealed, but the translations do not. And if they're study abroad programs, I don't even think they need to be sealed (see my post in your other thread on French transcripts).
