I received an ambiguous e-mail the other day from Wisconsin with the title “Participate in Honors”. The e-mail went on to say that I can enrich my experience yet at the bottom there’s a link for the various applications / programs for all honors options at Wisconsin. I’ll post a screenshot later when I get on my home computer. Does anyone know if this I got into honors?
The College of Letters and Science send invites to apply for Honors about two weeks after you are accepted to the college. That email has a direct link to an application containing three essays. Once you submit that application, L&S will review your application, and you will receive a physical letter in the mail three weeks (or less) later with the decision.
The same thing happened to me- I was really confused, so I ended up calling Admissions and asking. About a week later, I received a letter of acceptance! 
So I think that pretty much means you got in!
