I noticed my rec was submitted on common app. So, I would assume my teacher also sent the rec to USC via paper submittion. Is there a way that I can know it has been received by USC or not?

Also, will that be a problem if my app has not filed, but rec was submiited first?

Did you request that your teacher mail a recommendation to USC? You could ask your teacher if he/she mailed it. There also is a documents page on your USConnect that will list your documents as they are received.

***It seems from your post you are aware of this, but just for clarity I will mention that USC does not use the Common Application.

Thanks.
But is there a problem if my part 2 has not sumbitted yet but rec and school report arrived first?
Also, how do I submit the transcript from the community college where I took courses during summers and school years?

It makes it easier for USC if applicants submit the Part 1 application in cases like this, but even so it will not be a problem. USC has been going through the admissions cycle for many, many decades and it is not uncommon for materials to arrive before applications are submitted. They will make every effort to match up all items. Ideally applicants should try to be sure their USC ID is on all materials submitted, or include their birthdate if the USC ID is not available. Even lacking any of that they will match up by name and high school.

You order your community college transcript from your community college registrar’s office. You can generally do it online, but if you cannot figure it out call your community college up and they will guide you. Be sure to ask for an official, sealed transcript. Having it sent directly to USC is fine.

Thanks so much @alamemom
When I request transcripts from community colleges, is there any form that I should attach so you will quickly know the transcript is from me? The transcript request form that I can download from USC connect is for secondary school, is there a one for other schools?

you can email and ask an admissions counsellor…

The transcript request form might be accepted by your community college, but they generally have a form of their own they prefer you use. Your community college will be VERY familiar with the process.

Because the transcripts contain your name and birthdate, it isn’t usually a problem for universities to match them up. If you are concerned, you can request an official, sealed transcript be delivered to you. Then write your name and USC ID# on the OUTSIDE of the transcript envelope (don’t open it or it is no longer official), put it in a larger envelope and send it off.

Big thanks! @alamemom.
The admission process is so overwhelming.

@alamemom, request transcripts to send to this address with USC ID?

USC Office of Admission
3601 South Flower Street
Room 112
Los Angeles, CA
90089-0911

That address would work just fine. The address they specify on form 7 and on the contact us page is:

Thank you so much!!
