how do i petition for cc credit?

<p>i'm a freshman and stopped by my aap counselor to discuss some things and she brought it to my attention that 2 of my 3community college courses are not counting towards my ge requirements. i checked assist and it says this for each class:
1- marine biology - 5 units with lab S (Biological and Physical Sciences)
2- world regional geography - 4 units B (B = Behavioral and Social Sciences)
3- astronomy - 5 units S</p>

<p>so i'm not understanding why the astronomy counts but the last two don't. my aap counselor said i could petition for the credits to count but did not tell me how. anyone know how i would go about that?</p>

<p>you have to take the syllabus for each class to the specific department counselor to petition for credit, i did it for poli sci its pretty easy</p>
