Satisfaction, petition, and registration

Is there a site we can go to specifically find out what classes satisfy what requirement?

It'd be a handy tool in general, but I wanted to make sure that E&SS 16 was taking care of my science lab GE.

Also, what is the procedure for petitioning to take a morethannormal amount of units? Because I'm looking at a schedule next quarter of about 19 units, but if I do get into all of them, there is a 30% chance I'll drop one of the courses. If we're not sure about sticking with a class, do we still have to petition at the beginning of the quarter?

And finally...where and how do we register? Through URSA I believe, but through what link?

Thanks for any and all help!

Well, go to the 'schedule of classes' page from the registrar. Look to the left sidebar and click on Search for GE Classes or whatever it is.

Go to Campbell Hall (if you're AAP) or Murphy Hall to petition.

Yes, you still have to petition. And well, you drop them online through URSA naturally.

Register through URSA and look under the Academics section after you log-in.

UCLA Registrar's Office: General Education Requirements has PDFs for each college, where all GE classes are listed under their foundation category.

you have to petition to sign up for extra units, period. but you could easily drop later (just keep deadlines and impactedness in mind!!!) go to murphy hall window 1 to petition. or the honors office for college honors. same physical place really.

and URSA is where you'll do everything- look at enrollment appt times, enroll, drop, etc. "enrollment menu" is what you're looking for. when enrolling you will need the 9 digit course numbers, so helps to have that handy in another window.
