Here's my problem: I have four programs I really want to do at emerson.

Broadcast Journalism

Radio

Writing, Literature and Publishing

Screenwriting

If you could give me some background on these programs, other than what's on their website it would be much appreciated.

I'm actually a little upset because originally I was going to double major, but I just read that you can't do if your in the Visual & Media Arts school. Grrr.

Also, how easy or hard is it to switch major because honestly right now I just need something to put down on my application? Thanks!

I’m in a similar situation (minus radio)!!! I’ve been applying to most schools as undeclared but particularly in the communications/arts school or program. Unfortunately… doesn’t really work that way here. So… someone please answer!!!

In addition, anyone know how easy it is to double major here? I’ve heard that student who go to Emerson pretty much know they’re going into one major…
Thanks

Actually that’s what I wanted to do - double major. But it says on their website that you can double major, but not if one of your majors is in the Visual and Media Arts Department (i.e. screenwriting or radio)

Hmmm. Well, the website has some people in each department that you can email. When I was picking my major for EA, I emailed one of the dudes so he could help me decide between film production and screenwriting. It’s legit, you should try it.
