How do I request a roommate for VT?

I am trying to request my roommate, but I don’t know how… Help!

I’m pretty sure it’s too late to request a roommate at this point. I believe the deadline was June 1st, but VT never specified a concrete deadline after checking their website. But if you want to still try, read the steps below. I’ll try my best to explain them!

  1. Make a PID, and login to Hokie SPA.
  2. Click on “Hokie SPA”.
  3. Scroll down a bit and click on “Housing and Dining Services”.
  4. Click on “Complete Housing Contract”.
  5. Click on “StarRez Portal”. Wait for it to redirect you to a new page.
  6. It will take you to some weird page, but just click on “university page login” in the orange bar at the top of the page.
  7. In the maroon bar on the top of the page, click on “Housing and Dining Contracts”.
  8. Scroll down a bit, read the text, and fill in the small circle next to “Academic Year 2017-2018”. Then click “Save & Continue”.
  9. Fill out your housing contract completely and then when you reach step 14, click on “Roommate Search by Details” and fill out the following information of your roommate to the best your ability.
  10. Click on “Search” and I’m pretty sure it say that you can send a roommate request to them. Click on that, and you’re done!
