How do I transfer credits from a dual-enrollment courses taken while in high school?

Hello, I am a senior and getting ready to go to college this fall. I took several dual-enrollment courses at a local 4 year college(regionally accredited). Now I want to know how I can transfer them to the new college I am going to go to in the fall. I already sent my college transcript to the college a couple months ago for admission purposes.
Do they keep that college transcript and use it to transfer those courses for me? Is that all it takes for them to transfer credits or do I need to do anything else?

Follow the instructions of the college you are about to attend to get transfer credit (assuming that it will give you transfer credit).

Note that subject credit may be specific to the department, and may require individual evaluation, if there is no pre-existing articulation agreement between the two colleges. If individual evaluation of a course is needed, be sure to have the syllabus, reading list, assignments, exams, etc. available if needed.

Also I got a bad grade in one college class. Are you allowed to pick and choose which ones to transfer or do you not have a choice and have to transfer all or nothing?

In most cases, transfer credit grades do not become part of your GPA at your current college (however, all college courses and grades will be included in your GPA for professional schools like medical and law school).

The college that you end up attending will decide for itself which credits to transfer. If your grade is bad, that course probably won’t transfer. Many institutions do not award transfer credit unless the grade earned is at least a C.

You don’t get to “pick and choose” unless you have completed more transferable coursework than they can accept. In that situation, you would be able to discuss the various options, and work out a list of courses to transfer that is best for your particular plan of studies.

Can’t really find anything on the college’s website specifically on dual-enrollment.
All I could find is about transfers.

So how do I actually transfer my credits? Do I just send them a copy of my college transcript and they will transfer my credits? I already sent them one for admissions so do I need to send another one?

Some colleges don’t take those credits, you have to check by school. If you have notified the college that you are attending, then call the registrar’s office (you can find the info on the website) and ask who you can talk to regarding this question.

In that case, just look for transfer credit, since most colleges just treat dual enrollment as college courses for the purpose of transfer credit.

For example, if you will attend Purdue, you will find everything here:

So all it takes for Purdue to consider the transcript is an official college transcript. I did send Purdue a copy of my official college transcript for admissions. If I choose to attend Purdue, do I still need to send another copy or did they kept the one I already sent?

If it is unclear, call them and ask.
