How do the admission requirements differ from the two campuses?

Hi! What do the grades/ gpa/ requirements in general look like for Vancouver and okanagan and how do they differ? My weighted gpa averages from a 4.1-4.3 and I know someone who also wants to get in and their lowest gpa score was a 2.75 freshman year but it has gone up since then and now I’m pretty sure its around a 3.25
I heard ubc doesn’t take gpa scores, but do you have any idea if ubc would be reasonable? We’re both from America but I have a dual citizenship (idk if that makes a difference)
Thanks!

UBC Vancouver is the main campus and the more prestigious/well-known of the two, though the UBC name still carries weight. For the UK and Canada, “courses” (majors or concentrations in the US,) have pages that list the minimum requirements for entry, the degree requirements etc. Some may include the student profiles of those admitted (average test scores etc.)

For admissions, they will not care at all about your freshman year grades from high school. What was your (or your friend’s) unweighted GPA for your sophomore and junior years?

If you have Canadian citizenship, then you pay as a Canadian citizen. This will be quite a bargain compared with the cost of US schools, and if you live in the US may cost less than your in-state public universities. Don’t forget to take the exchange rate into account.

My understanding is that the Okanagan campus is slightly easier to get accepted to, but I am not sure by how much.

We have some experience attending university in Canada as a dual citizen coming from the US. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
