My top choices are yoga for credit and running for exercise/fitness. I am contemplating looking into a dance class....but we shall see.

I heard from my interviewer that when she attended her university, horse-back riding was offered as a PE credit. How amazing is that?? (or maybe I'm the only one that still loves horses past the age of 10.....xD)
Other than that, I haven't really heard of any wacky or awesome PE classes offered by colleges, but if you know of one/are taking one, please enlighten us!

@mflevity: that sounds really fun! I’ve always wanted to get back into dancing, but never had the time/confidence to. Will definitely look into that then, when I get on campus this fall.

I took horseback riding while in London my sophomore year. It was really cool, we rode in Hyde Park.

And back at my school’s main campus, in California, they offer surfing classes. I never managed to fit it in my schedule, but a lot of my friends did, and loved it.

I just go to the gym. My school has like 3 fitness type classes total…and I already take near the maximum number of credits, so…yeah. But let me tell you…it’s nice going to a school that has no PE requirement!

We don’t have a PE requirement either, but there’s some fun stuff offered through our Recreation Department. There’s one where you shoot bow and arrow, believe you shoot some rifle, reel casting, etc. I almost took a rock climbing class my sophomore year–that would have been fun.

We don’t have a PE requirement. Archery would be tons of fun! So would DDR. I wish we had those classes. I took bowling one semester. Circus would be interesting but is too time consuming for me as we have an actual student Circus (so not just skills for fun like bowling.)

PE can be annoying, but I’m actually glad the school I’m going to has a requirement for it because I want to stay in shape and I’m not sure if I can depend on my own discipline to work out/eat healthy all the time. xD
