Hi fellow forum-ners!

I was wondering how do you calculate UC GPA, and can someone describe it in detail?
Does Health, Gym, and College Career count? Since choir is an elective, and UCs count one year elective, would choir be considered in the GPA? I also have become aware that UCs only count 8 semesters of weighted classes. Does this mean that the other weighted classes you took won't count? And should I know anymore?

Thanks! Much appreciated.

p.s., I live in cali.

You need to go to this website and plug in your high school and find out which of your classes are eligible for meeting the a-g requirements.

PE is not going to count. Not sure about health or college career. See if they are listed on the UC Doorways page. Our school indicates all UC eligible classes on the transcript with a code…classes like PE and yearbook do not count. Choir will count for performing arts if it is listed on the Doorways page. And yes, I believe you can only count 8 weighted classes (and again, they have to be indicated as weighted on the Doorways page for your school).
