How do you do deal with competitive people breathing down your back for your grades?

It's really annoying and is getting to my nerves. Why can't people just mind their own business about their grades?

You grow a backbone, get over it, and get on with your life.

And then you and your best buds get together every now and then to vent about it. :)

You destroy classes and then when pretentious people ask about your grades, you brag about your really high, curve setting grade. You DON’T brag, unless they ask. You NEED to be nonchalant about it.

-Ignore them.
-Tell them you don’t discuss grades (no need to add “sorry” at the end–nothing to apologize for).
-Give them a general answer, like “I did well!” or “OK, but not as well as I’d hoped.” or “Wow that was really tough, glad I passed.”
-Don’t bother justifying; so statements like “Well, I studied for two weeks, went to all the help sessions, and talked to the professor about (thus and such), and I did well on the exam” are pretty much unnecessary.

Pretty much, give them vague answers a few times and ignore them a few times and pretty soon they’ll catch on and stop asking you. It’s none of their business and you’re not obligated to share your score with them!

Which isn’t to say be rude about it. You can still be friendly and not tell them your score. Just stick with something vague (ie, “I did well!”) and change the subject (“So, are you guys going to the game this weekend?”).

Say you did fine, if they press say you don’t talk about grades.

OP,

-You are making way too much out of it. Do as you advised, mind your own business, take care of your own situtaion and IGNORE what others are doing, including stealing your wark if it happened to you (has happened to my D. and few other, she benefitted greatly form it, since she had to do it all over and much faster to catch up with the class). So, do just that, BENEFIT from whatever, get stronger, betther, faster, smarter…show them that they are destroying themselves and NOBODY else.
In regard to talking, nobody can force to say whatever you do not want, it is nobody’s business but your own. Again, very good skiil to obtain to deal with nosy people.
Looks like you are given lots of chances to grow up, take advantage…

Tell them you got the high score (or close to it). Then say, “u mad?”. Its fun toying with those neurotic pre-meds.
