How do you increase ACT/SAT scores dramitically?

I mean like 4 or more points on the act and 100 on the SAT. How is it done? I only have a 20 on the ACT after taking it twice (20 and a 20), so there is still plently to go. I want at least a 24. How can it be done?

Well, first of all, you shoud get the review books out there like the College Board blue book and the Official ACT book.

If you already have those, you could try a Kaplan course or Princeton Review Course.

don't do a kaplan course. I'm warning you...

From what I've heard, Kaplan is like "taboo" as far as Test-Prep goes... Do Barron's test Prep or Princeton's - I got Barron's and maybe PR (have to go look, lol). Having multiple books gives you extra practice tests, as well as a different test-perspective.

**One thing's for sure though (hopefully), Barron's and PR are both excellent books. :)

Practice, practice, practice.

DUH.

Take THE LIVING HELL out of as many practice tests as you can. And go over each thoroughly when you're done. Reason with the correct answer, and understand why it's correct, and your own question-answering methods will adjust autonomically (I'm talking specifically about verbal, since that's the section I dramatically improved on from PSAT to SAT, which I only took once. It's similar for the other sections though).

Start with the collegeboard blue book if you haven't already.
