Lol, ok !!! So, is Cal really left-leaning, or is it partly so ? Or is that a rumor ? Also, are there often student rallies opposing/arguing political/moral issues ? Is it "bohemian" ? Obviously, you find ALL sorts of students at all college campuses, but I mean, what's the GENERAL vibe ? What's the OVERALL atmosphere like ? Are people really free and liberal, or are they serious and introverted ? (Well, I realize everyone's going to have a different opinion towards these questions and everyone on campus is different, and there probably won't be a 100% consensus, but just generalize for me please). OR IS THIS QUESTION TOO GENERAL ?

There's always the Berkeley College Republicans. You'll be fine, I personally adore conservatives who come on campus to get ripped apart by the Berkeley extreme left.

Strykur, hahaha. lol.

In a nutchell, there is a conservative kernel on campus, a liberal segment that's twice as big, but a majority of moderates or people who are to busy to care.

If you're really turned off by "lefties", Berkeley might not be right for you, as liberals are a large minority. But if the above distribution sounds palatable to you, then come on down.

In general Berkeley students are HUGELY individualistic. That means you will most likely not encounter much of any social resistance if you are say, a guy, kissing another guy inbetween classes in front of peers as you would in a high school setting. Most students are simply too busy with their own lives to make much of a fuss. If that has come to mean "liberal," then sure, Berkeley is liberal. But if you were to define liberal to mean almost universal student political activism, Berkeley is most definetly not liberal.

hey! i resent that moderate remark! moderate doesn't mean you don't care - it means that your opinions will vary toward a certain side depending on the issue

Berkeley's school color rules.

What do you need more?

You tell'm, Baby Face! ;)

A United fan in Berkeley... makes the university look even more imressive!

I visited Berkeley and Stanford in second grade.

I bought a wallet in a store in Berkeley; I still use it.

I bought nothing in Stanford.

What does that tell you... besides the fact that I like blue?

I secretly lean toward Berkeley more... even though I plan to EA Stanford.

I don't like to wear red so...

What sort of Man U fan doesn't like to wear red? Curious...

To be fair, I'm an Arsenal man myself. I have a replica kit, but it's the blue away jersey :-P

lol, I've got an old Arsenal away shirt, gold with the blue trim. Gunners baby! :)

This being said, hats off to Baby Face and Giggsy, great red devils.

Ole, Berkeley rules! Besides, we crush the Furd in every kind of football there is: American, European and Rugby.

Here's the thing. I'm still not quite sure if I'm committed to United.

I follow United because of Solskjaer.

I think I'll just stick with United though.

Real Madrid.
