I usually do well in the Pratice tests like 2000s, however when I took the test SAT last year. I couldn't control my nerves and pressures..
What is the best way to maintain my composure without any distractions?

Breathing exercises might work.

think to yourself that you can do this and that this and the practice tests are the same if not easier...that way you won't freak out when you find a problem that you can't solve right away or a problem that you can't solve altogether

I told myself that I would be going to community college if I failed this test(really not that far from the truth, either)

^lol, I don't think that would do much for nerves! just remind yourself that it's just like the practice tests. and you can always retake at the next test date.

how do you calm yourself at the before even the test starts because I tend to settle down like after the essay section.

A lot of people find that some light exercise before the test helps them stay calm and focused. Getting your blood pumping a little during breaks also helps...remember that your brain runs on oxygen, and your cardiovascular system is what gets the O2 to your brain cells.

Don't wear yourself out, of course. Just get the blood flowing.

And don't be afraid to take a couple of mini-breaks during the test when you're particularly stressed. I'm talking about 15-30 second breaks when you close your eyes, breathe slowly and deeply, visualize something peaceful...whatever gets you to mellow out a bit. Experiment during practice tests.

Say to yourself that the real test is much easier than the practice exams, and how you do not want to retake the exam the next month.

just assume that you're going to fail whether or not you worry, so there's nothing to worry about.

as important as the SAT is, just think that it's not the end of the world if you don't score up as much as you want. like other people have said, just see it as another test.

personally, i didn't like it when people talked to me before the test. on the way to the test, i sat in the backseat, ate some food for energy, and relaxed.
