So, NYU Is my dream school... but it's so damn expensive!
Sigh

My grades are decent, probably enough to get in but no scholarships or anything. My family income is high (~$100k /yr) but only just recently... my dad is 55 and trying to salvage anything he can to retire at all. So there isn't really a whole lot of money available to me (I don't know, maybe ~$20k per year for everything including housing etc.) even though the family income is high.

Is it feasible for me to pay for NYU? Bout' $50k per year would mean I'd need nearly $30k per year in loans... over $100k ;(

Me...my daddy's going to cut a fat check for $50k each year. Or $36k each year if I commute. But that's what he offered and I took him up on it. :D

And then I'll probably earn my spending money....lol

ill prolly agree with u
cause most super stoner druggees wouldnt get into nyu
cause theyd be to busy trippin out to study and get good grades in highschool

omg i am in the same exact situation financially and everything with NYU...my dad is even 55 and recently received the same wage...weird...but i do not know how to go about it ...i hope to figure something out..haha sorry this didn't help

In a pamphlet from NYU showing the distribution of what income-level students recieve financial aid, the biggest proportion of students on FA was in the $100k-150k categroy, so I wouldn't worry too much.
