I've tried numerous times, but I just can't seem to fill up two pages. I can write 1.25pages at max. Is there a trick to writing 2 full pages, or is practice the only way?

write fast?

i usually have 10 minutes left in the essay section of practice tests. i had 7-8ish minutes left over on the january sat.

I had the same problem when I wrote my essays. My advice is to practice ALOT. Also my friend suggested to forget the whole “pre-write planning” thing and just go straight to writing after you have an idea (maybe 30 sec. of thinking at most). He got 12’s on all three of his exams (2 ACT, 1 SAT) so something must work

write big. it works.

stop thinking and start writing.
every essay should need only 2 or 1 minute of planning. you should be using basically the same examples, topic sentences, conclusions, thesis for every essay.
write your typical intro, 2 bodies, and a conclusion.
i always almost run out on the 2 pages and i have minuscule handwriting. ^ ^
